WEEK 2 | ROAD WARRIORS

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are off to a 2–0 start in the 2025 CFL season after grinding out a 28–23 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on the road.

Once again, it came down to the final minute.

Just like in Week 1, Saskatchewan’s defence sealed the deal with a fourth-quarter stop, with linebacker A.J. Allen stuffing Hamilton at third down to lock in the victory. The Riders are proving they can win ugly, win on the road, and most importantly… finish strong.

Let’s dive into what Rider Nation had to say 👇

💬 Rider Performance in One Word:

The word cloud tells the story:

“Excited,” “Awesome,” “Interesting,” “Gritty,” “Good,” “Close,” “Encouraging.”

There’s cautious optimism in the air. While it wasn’t perfect, fans saw fight, growth, and potential in Week 2.

✅ Rate Rider Performance

Rider fans gave Week 2 a big thumbs-up —
87% rated the performance as “Very Happy” or “Somewhat Happy.”

That’s a clear vote of confidence from Rider Nation after a gritty, emotional road win in Hamilton.

Between Harris throwing for nearly 300 yards, Ouellette pounding another strong game on the ground, and Milligan’s pick-six, there was a lot to cheer for.

📊 Rider Fan Outlook:

Rider Nation is settling into a confident rhythm, with fans giving Week 2 an average 8.0/10 rating.

Even with missed field goals and some shaky special-teams moments, the consensus is clear: this team has resilience. A TD from KeeSean Johnson, a pick-six from Rolan Milligan, and over 90 rushing yards from A.J. Ouellette helped tip the scales.

🔮 Game Prediction – Week 3:

Looking ahead, the Riders face the Toronto Argonauts on Friday.
According to fans:
🟩 Roughriders win – 93%
🟦 Argos win – 7%

With the Argos off to a 0–2 start, Rider Nation is banking on another W to make it 3–0.

🧠 Final Thoughts:

Week 2 showed us something important:
This team might not be flawless — Lauther missed three field goals and a convert — but they’re relentless. When it matters most, they show up. Whether it’s the offensive line protecting Harris or Milligan flipping the game on defence, the Green and White are starting to form a dangerous identity.

As Coach Mace put it:

“We’re not perfect, but we’re finding ways to win — and that’s what championship teams do.”
